TABLE MIRROR
"MUSIC, THE SCENT OF FLOWERS, DEW UNDER YOUR FEET"

Material: birch veneer, beech veneer, barrel organ, mirror, MDF.
Finish: matte varnish. Technique: marquetry.
Dimensions: 480x295x30.

This work engages with the themes of memory and sensory experience.

The object evokes the fragile state of early morning - a moment when sound, scent, and tactile sensations merge into a single impression.

Inside the body of the mirror a musical mechanism is embedded: when the object is rotated, a fragment of The Waltz of the Flowers by Tchaikovsky begins to play. The movement activates not only the sound but also a shift in the reflection, turning the interaction with the object into a small performative gesture.

Natural materials, hand assembly, and the use of marquetry emphasize the material presence of the piece and preserve the sense of the human hand within it.

The work explores the capacity of an object to become a vessel of sensory memory - recollections that emerge through sound, movement, and touch.
